The check engine light came on in my 2016 320i two days ago and I’ve been stressing about it ever since. The car still drives fine but I know ignoring it is a bad idea. I took it to a garage near my place and the guy plugged in a scanner, said it was a random misfire, cleared the code and told me to come back if it returns. It returned the next day. I don’t want to keep playing this game with someone who’s just guessing. A colleague mentioned there’s Quality BMW repair and servicing in Sharjah available at a few specialist shops but I don’t know which one to trust. I’m not looking for the cheapest option, I just want someone who actually knows these engines and won’t replace ten things before finding the real issue. Has anyone here dealt with a persistent misfire on an N20 engine? What was the actual cause and did a specialist sort it out properly? Any recommendations would really help because I’m tired of the back and forth.
