Hi all. I run a small nail studio with three chairs and my biggest headache right now is supply. We buy rubber bases from a distributor who ships whenever they feel like it, and the last two batches behaved differently even though the label was identical. My techs noticed before I did. I am looking for a supplier that carries the European lines consistently and does not disappear for a month at a time. Where do people here actually buy, and is it worth ordering direct from overseas or does that turn into a customs mess?

Ordering direct from overseas turns into a customs mess roughly every third shipment, so most people stop once they have had an order sit in a warehouse for six weeks with nobody able to tell them why. A US based stockist carrying the same European lines solves the batch problem too, because stock rotates faster and you are not getting the end of somebody’s pallet. We order from Nail Market USA https://www.nailmarket-usa.com/ and the useful part for a studio your size is the New York warehouse, so restocks land in a couple of days rather than a fortnight. Whoever you end up with, buy two bottles of any new base first and test it on your own hands before a client sees it.
